Located beneath Sushi Dokku, Booze Box is a Japanese small-dish and drinking establishment celebrating savory, Japanese Izakaya-style small plates and Japanese street food that is meant to be casual and intentionally full of texture, fat and salt.
The bar features our version of Japanese “trail mix” snacks and pours Japanese draft beer, as well as domestic local favorites. We feature quality red and white draft wine and look forward to being one of the few places where cold draft sake will be poured.
The design is “boxed” inside a comfortable, dark room, with the glow of hand-crafted red lanterns suspended over the tables.
Japanese joinery wood furniture and cedar sauna-like walls set a warm tone against the charcoal stained concrete floor.
A rotation of independent music artists spin vinyl at the bar, side-by-side our guests.
Enter Booze Box through the back alley door of its parent restaurant, sushiDOKKU.
